USE HATERS, TROLLS AND DESTRUCTIVE CRITICS TO YOUR ADVANTAGE

Hello beautiful people, I know this is our month of appreciation and love, but I wanted to encourage those of you who have a experienced a lot of criticism, trolling, naysayers and haters, that there are ways in which you can use their destructive behaviour to your advantage. Once you reach a certain level of popularity or success, there will always be critics, trolls, naysayers and haters that surround you, they generally do not believe in what you stand for or they are angry at life or, more likely, are envious of your accomplishments and what you have achieved.
It is quite easy to allow them make you feel sad, ashamed or afraid but you have options, you can choose to take advantage of the situation and their bad behaviour and use it in ways that benefit you.

“The greatest people have haters for a reason, so take it as a compliment.”           -Jeanette Coron

Here are 4 ways that you can use your haters, critics and naysayers to your advantage:

1. Understand that it means you are doing things right - The emergence of haters, trolls & critics is a sign that you have what other people want, you have accomplished something worthwhile and you are successful.

People don't usually pay attention to people who have not accomplished anything, so use their hating, trolling and criticism as a validation tool. Assure yourself that you are doing the right things and you are on the right path.

2. Use them to motivate yourself - You may have been told that you would never succeed or accomplish your goals, however you can use these negative responses as motivation to succeed. You do not need to prove anything to anybody, remember, your only competition is you.

When you succeed and achieve your goals, you will be able to shut down the haters, but don't forget to take advantage of your success, and use it as motivation to work harder and break records.

3. Teaches you how to deal with conflict - Dealing with your haters, naysayers, trolls and critics gives you an opportunity to better handle and manage conflict. Especially when haters, trolls or critics put you in challenging or embarrassing situations e.g. someone calling you out in a big way on social media or at an event or someone bringing your personal relationship issues on social media.

Use these experiences as opportunities to learn to navigate conflict.

Sometimes you can just take the high road and ignore them but, in other situations, response is needed, in order to defend your business, reputation and your brand but it needs to be more nuanced. That being said, you should be measured in your responses. There is no need to brag or try to validate yourself further. Instead, trust your own instinct and respond in a clear and respectful manner.

4. Use them to learn how to ignore negative influences, while doing more of what they hate - Changing up your style wouldn’t magically turn them into best friends, so instead, do the only logical thing. Choose yourself and do so unapologetically, because it shows your haters that their words have no effect on you and that you are happy with who you are by doing more of what they hate, while choosing to live each day courageously.

Remember, HURT PEOPLE, HURT OTHER PEOPLE. Simply put, people who choose to hurt others are the broken souls of the world who are deeply hurting themselves.

Their hate has nothing to do with how they feel about you, it is a reflection about how they feel about themselves.

Beautiful one, remember that you cannot get everyone to like you. Therefore, haters, critics and naysayers serve as a great way to learn this lesson and build up your self-confidence, while learning to love and accept yourself unapologetically.

You should be proud of what you have been able to achieve so far because your haters, critics and naysayers, serve as a reminder to appreciate the successes and victories while being grateful for all the good things that you are fortunate to have.
